“Working the View” was a two year joint project by Mark Butler (photographer) and Sarah Butler (writer) to produce an exhibition and book of landscape photographs of the Yorkshire Dales National Park, with accompanying texts exploring the relationship between the landscape and its guardians.

Each participant was asked to select several of their favourite views, which Mark then photographed. Sarah interviewed each participant to explore the reasons why they love this view and the work they do to protect the landscape for others.

The results were shown in a series of exhibitions (now all finished) and a coffee table book (still available to buy from the Yorkshire Dales National Park shop).
